: I have a basement bath which works great by itself. Problem is that the washing machine on the first floor sucks the traps dry when it pumps out. Is there a device that I can place in the washer drain line to prevent this, or should I rework the vent system? Is the washing machine on the first floor tied into the vent for the bath inthe basement?
