Bill: CSST (corrugated stainless steel tubing) is probably the fastest, and in some cases (especially in earthquake areas) the best way to get the job done. You will need a certified and licensed contractor to install it for you. This is to protect you and your family in the event of a fire or explosion. Most insurance underwriters exclude coverage by DIY gas installations. Merry Christmas.....Bud Is there any other safe and reliable method to pipe natural gas in a home other than 'Black Pipe'. I am installing a 45,000 BTU garage heater and have to run about 30' of pipe from the basement to the garage for the heater. I was looking for an alternative that does not require threading of pipe. : Thanks
