: I`m thinking about putting a toilet in the basement, but, its below grade. I`ve heard of sewage ejector pumps only once. How do they work, how hard are they to install, and, what price ranges are there. Thanks for any and all responses. Chris

Chris,
We use sewage ejectors quite often and they work great. Installing them is a lot of work ie digging up the floor to set the ejector in and trenching the drain lines out to the pump. Once the work is done it's great and you can have a toilet, shower and sink all drain into the ejector. We use the Liberty pumps #372 the cost of the pump is about $400.00. You can take a look at the pump at libertypumps.com

I hope this helps, Happy holidays
