|In response to Re: Black pipe coupling on a galvanized water line?|
If you do not replace the black fitting, it will cause rusty water when it sets for a while.
: I ran an outside galvanized water line, and at one point needed a bell reducer coupler, and all i could get was a "black pipe" fitting. Later I found out that black pipe is intended for gas lines. Will the black pipe rust, and if so how long can I keep it on before I need to redo the fitting??
: Also is galvanized compatable with brass fittings (eg shut off valve)? Thanks
