: Would remodeling a shower faucet from a two handle control to a one handle control reduce the water pressure? Can I adjust water pressure on a gas water heater or must I call the plumber? Mine never show up anyway....

Melissa,
There should be pressure either way. Some single controls allow for more flow than others. The new shower heads are low-flow anyway. I have seen old style heads in bathrooms that allow so much water through, that they can drain a 50 gallon water heater in minutes.

The water heater would not be the expected place to look for restricted pressure in a home unless you are thinking of a "on demand" heater. Most water heaters have 3/4" in and 3/4" out. Plenty for several fixtures to run at the same time.

The water heater can be adjusted for temperature though. An overly hot water setting can be dangerous though. Terry
