|In response to Re: Waiting for Hot Water|
Do this. Run the water in the kitchen sink until it is hot. Then go to all the other faucets in the house and see which ones have instant hot water, ( just run them for about 15 seconds or you will confuse the results). Those faucets will be on the run to the kitchen sink and that is why it takes so long. The faucet can be right next to the water heater but if the piping goes to the farthest bathroom before going to the faucet, which I have seen done in order to give those faucets fast hot water, then it will take a long time for the water to get hot.
: Why does it take so long for the hot water to get to my kitchen faucet? At times, it will take over 60 seconds for the water to get hot enough to wash dishes. My house is VERY small. The kitchen sink is no more than 15' from the water heater. My laundry room is twice as far away, but the hot water gets to it very quickly. What could be the problem?
