Have a hot water heating system in a two story house w/basement. Pipes frozed last winter and some of them busted along with some of the radiator being cracked. Would like to know if this can be a DO ITSELF PROJect! The pipes are galvanized steel. Live in Chicago area. House is at least 85 years old with original plumbing. Pipes are everywhere and I wonder if all of them are needed? Would replacing just the damage areas or replacing longer sections of piping be better? |
