If the leak is from the toilet itself, then it will leak even if the water is shutoff until the water is out of the tank. So do not flush the toilet after you shut the valve off. If the leak goes away, then it is somewhere in the supply tube or its connections. If it still leaks, then check the tank to bowl connections for dampness. : Our toilet has a very small leak. When we shut off the water to the toilet it stops. So we know it is something : to do with the toilet and not the pipes. Where would the first place to look be??? It seems to be leaking from : the back base of the toilet. Thanks for any help or advice you can give.
