|In response to Re: Outdoor Plumbing??? HELP|
Since it is 3 ft. deep, I would install the tee, but not bring it out of the ground where it would freeze. All pipes will freeze. PEX, since it can stretch should freeze but not break. Insulation does not prevent freezing, it merely slows the process down. You still have to run the water before it freezes to help the insulation out.
: Help: I have run my 3/4 black poly pipe form my house to my barn as a water source feed. I am about to continue my 2 1/2 to 3 ft ditch inside the barn to a "frost free" style water spicit(sp). The problem...in the future I am going to add a wash bay and I will want to tee off of my poly line to add the water for that. Would it be best to put my tee in now and bring it up floor level and cap it off ? If I do will it freeze the reat of my poly line? What is the best outside pipe to use when I add the wash bay? ...that doesn't freeze? Should I insulate the pipe?
: Thanks. Mike
