|In response to Re: Shower Floor|
When we install solid shower floors, fiberglass or others, we do not actually raise the fixture with the mortar. Instead we just fill up the voids underneath. To do this place small piles of mortar (mixed very loose) at strategic points on the subfloor so that when the fixture is pushed down, the mortar will spread. You can put it down a take it back up a couple times in order to get the right amount of mortar. On the final run, make sure to top edges of the rim are level, and allow everything to set 24 hours. The front of the fixture should be on or very near the subfloor.
