Hello.. I remodeling my basement and would like to move the existing shallow well pump and tank about (10) feet along the front wall from where it is . I'd also be removing the approximate 40 gallon tank & replacing it with a small tank (I just use it for the lawn). Can I just disconnect the pump without flooding the basement ? i.e. as long as the pump is not on there's no pressure right ? When I re-connect it , how do I re-prime it ? Are there any other important things to be aware of ? Please don't tell me to hire a plumber - I would if I had the money and I think this is reasonable enough to tackle with appropriate caution . Thanks ! |
