Hi Tim, You can tell the difference between Corian and cultured marble by what's under the surface. Corian is a solid material, while cultured marble has a thin surface of "gel coat" with a cement-like underbody. Cultured marble can be cut with diamond cutting tools. Corian, on the other hand, can be cut with your carbide tipped circular saw.
