| In response to Re: Finding Basement Shower Drain | |
|
: I recently purchased a home with an unfinished basement(70 year old house moved onto a new basement about 1 1/2 years ago). The plumbing is roughed in with ABS and obvious for a toilet and vanity, however, there is no sign of a shower drain. Both the homeowner and the plumber are "certain there's one there". No one seems to have any plans or drawings showing the plumbing work. : To complicate things a little, the basement has in-floor heating. : Any suggestions on how to find it? : Thanks in advance, Make a 3 inch long 90 degree bend on a long stiff wire and push it into the 4 inch abs drain line feeling for a branch line or tee fitting where the 1 1/2 inch shower drain flows into the sewer line. That will tell you where, and in which direction to look. |
