I need a recommedation for a toilet to be located in a corner on an angle instead of parallel to the wall. The center of the mount is 17 inches from the corner (coming out at a 45 degree angle, if that makes sense). The current unit is an Eljer with with a triangular closet, but it's old and needs to be replaced.

You would be looking at a Dljer Triangle Ultra 1.5G 1.6 toilet
Their measurement is from the corner, 12" and 12" and a 90 degree angle from the walls, hmm, could be about 17".
091-4100 rough front
091-4105 elongated

Unrelated question. I am going to put in new unit in another bathroom, probably the Toto Ultramax if I can find a distributor. Perhaps a silly question, but does a new unit such as this put any extra pressure on the pipes that could cause leaking at the joints. The house is about 50 years old with what appear to be iron pipes. They have leaked in the past (at the joints) when there has been a blockage and an attempt to plunge it loose.

The Toto is flushing with 1.6 gallons, much less than the old toilet. No problem.
