I want to know what the minimum sizing is for a kitchen vent stack through the roof. I have a 2" drain
and a 2" vent on my existing kitchen. I want to move the vent stack into the exterior wall as we took out
an existing closet which housed the stack originally. The framing for the floor joist will allow an 1 1/2
drain to fit through the floor without modifying the floor joist. I would stay with 2" if I had to but wanted to
know if 1 1/2" is acceptable.
