You have one or more of four possibilities. Either or both of the elements could be bad, and/or either or both of the thermostats could be defective. You have to get the heater hot first, and then see if the thermostats are turning off properly, and that both legs to the elements are not drawing any current.
: I have a electric hot water heater that is overheating and then kicking off the reset button. When the heater is reset it will work for a day or two and then it will kick off again. Help !!!
