If the odor is apparent as soon as you run the water, I would suspect it is in the sink overflow and the initial water flow causes an air movement that carries the odor out the overflow opening. Try pouring some Liquid Plumber down the overflow hole and then see if the odor persists.
: Installed an AS flushmate model#2292 toilet and new sink several months ago. When we run the cold water in the sink you can smell sewer gas. We never had a problem with the old setup. My husband had replaced the drain under the sink several times. My husband is very handy, he has triple checked everything he has installed plus asked plumbers. Home depot, where we bought the toilet says it must be the power flush. Do you thing its the toilet. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
