|In response to Re: Bathtub Drain Assembly Adjustment|
Drop the plug into the drain until it stops. Then run some water and see if it holds it. If it still leaks then the drain is defective. If it holds water, then unscrew the upper portion until the overflow plate holes line up with the screw holes, (or are a little above them), in the overflow and insert the screws.
: I bought a new drain/plug for our bathtub. (Lever type with a dangling brass cylinder-like plug on the end). My problem is that I can't seem to get the length adjusted properly as water continues to leak out of drain. Is there a simple way to figure out the proper "length" of the unit?
: By the way, great website! Thanks. Any help will be appreciated.
