|In response to Re: resetting toilet|
: I am replacing rotten flooring in a bathroom and have removed the toilet. The existing flange appears to be glued to the drain pipe, there is an inner ring that lifted out of the flange. Can I install the new flooing flush to the bottom of the flange and reset the toilet, or will I need to replace the flange, and if so how do I get it loose from the drain pipe. Need some help. This is a 22 yr. old mobile home.
You will want to get the flooring as close to flush with the flange as possible. You will not be able to remove the flange if it is glued in unless you want to cut it out and replace it.
