We need to buy a toilet that works. Ideally one that would suck down a football if it had to. But I'd settle for one that could deal with the problems of a less than great diet. I'd prefer never to look at a plunger again! Thanks to much info I've read here and elsewhere, I've narrowed down my choices to the Toto UltraMax or the Gerber Ultraflush. There seems to be quite a difference in price, though one would think the Gerber would be more expensive because of the extra "equipment" involved. Is the Toto that much better made? What about maintenance and repairs? Are parts as easy to get for one as the other? Upkeep? One plumber I talked to said that he always gets called back to "adjust" the Gerber. He wasn't as familiar with the Toto. Sorry for being so long-winded, but I'd like this to be the last toilet I buy for a while.
