I am having difficulty geeting a bond between a stainless steel undermount sink and a granite counter top. I have cleaned each with denatured alcohol, sanded the stainless to roughen the surface and am using a 100% silicone caulking made by GE. The sink has been clamped to the counter top for 48 hours, but still not a strong bond. Basically the silicone is not bonding to the stainless, but bonds fine to the granite. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong or what I should try instead.
