Dear Terry......we live on an island and have a conventional septic system. It is very quick to fill up and the system drains very slowly. When the problem was the most acute, I was pumping the system every 2 weeks. I started attacking the problem by adding lots of Robic Root Killer and now I have the system pumped out every 12 to 15 weeks. Can you suggest how I can rid myself of this problem and restore, if possible, the system is its original working condition, without replacing it at a cost up here at approximately $5,000.
