|In response to Re: ELJER WALL HUNG TOILET|
If you have a wall-hung toilet, then there is probably a reason for it. Their installation is more involved, and as you've found, the cost of the toilet is substantially more, so no one would install one unless necessary. If you making a major bathroom remodel and have the opportunity to change to a standard floor mount, then do it. Otherwise the cost of a changeover, if possible, probably wouldn't be justified.
Crane makes a gravity wall-hung toilet called the Rexmount. It is less expensive than the Eljer pressure-assisted one, but still far from cheap.
: I have a broken Eljer wall hung toilet. It needs replaced. So far I have not found an inexpensive toilet.Would I be better off replumbing it to a floor mount. How difficult and costly would this be,and is there possibly a reason that there is a wall mount toilet there in the first place?
