A fiberglass tub or shower enclosure is installed next to the stud wall framing. The finish drywall will go over a nailing flange which can be nailed or screwed in place. It is important to have a level handy to check the front edge of the shower for vertical alignment. Plywood should be under the stall attached to the floor joists. The vinyl floor underlayment can be installed after the shower is in place.
