the Bachelor with Jason Mesnick, pictures & video
 A picture from the Webcast video shoot. "Making the video" Columbia City Theater Video Shoot with Hilary Mesnick. Footage taken of the crowd shots. It was a fun day, more going on then just the video. It was more like a party. This YouTube video runs about 10 minutes and includes many closeups of the people in the video. If you are on this page to see Hilary, this is a good youtube video to watch. You see a bit of her personality here. It does look a lot better on DVD though, if you would like a copy, just email me. Terry Love will premier the video that features Hilary Mesnick,(Jason Mesnick's ex) and Jamie Love, the singer in the band, Out From Underneath, in a music video shot in Seattle, Bellevue and Kirkland. If you are from Seattle, you will recognize the Washington Ferries, Alki, Gasworks, the Kirkland waterfront and the Columbia City Theater. Each Friday at 11:30 PM on channel 77 in the Seattle area there will be a new installment of the shooting of the video. It took four days of shooting, so we are cutting up the fours hours and narrating the storyline for television. You can also watch the live pod cast on www.scantv.org I have the "new" footage from the Columbia City Video Shoot in a 28 minute television show in DVD format that will air for the first time February 13th 2009. Jamie and I spent some time in the Summer of 2007 during a video shoot for the movie Webcast, Jason's ex was in the video. It was a lot of fun, four days shooting all over Seattle. For Jamie, who was never in a school play, it was a great experience spending three days shooting, and spending the last day shooting in the theater with extras from the talent agency. While filming in the theatre, and while the film crew was resting, the band would put on portions of their regular concert. The pictures below are Hilary Mesnick, Jamie Love and Shevin with the HD cam. Fun times, this has got to be a lot like High School Musical. Lot's of people from the talent agencies, hauling lighting and cameras all over the city, having helicopters buzzing overhead, Hey, can we just do this all the time?

Saturday July 12
Bachelorette and Bachelor parties?
Jamie from the music video, went to a Bachelor party at Canoes Night Club at the Tualip on Saturday with friends, which by the way has a bumping club scene there. He runs into his friend from the video Hilary Monrean (Mesnick) with her group of friends, celebrating a two year anniversary for one of their friends, about sixteen in their group, including her ex Jason Mesnick. So in case you're wondering, the group still hangs together. Yes, Jason was there too. I still like to go there Thursdays when the Afrodisiacs are playing, but Saturday and Friday are good too. Video here

I'm downloading video for the "making of the video" of the Happy vide from Webcast. When I get it cut a bit better, I will be able to do the voice over interviews from everybody and get it in the can.

The Sundial at Gas Works Park, on Lake Union
 Hilary with Lila's husband, Lui Williams, the drummer.  Jamie Love on the left, his arm at least, Mike Wuellner, guitar, Hilary Mesnick, the female lead, Lui Williams. Location: Gas Works Park, Seattle WA. If you look to the left in the photo, you will see the houseboats where the movie "Sleepless in Seattle" was shot. That was also the location where the Bachelor was shot with Jason Mesnick. From the houseboats, you look straight across toward Gas Works Park. This was also the hill top where the helicopter was used for overhead shots. At one point, see the big guitar amplifier on the left? The wind from the helicopter blew the cabinet over and ruined the power head for it. That had to be sent in for repairs. So for those of you using helicopters, remember to tie down anything that can move. Sponsored by Tapcoworld music products

 Life imitates Art. In the Summer of 2007, before anyone had ever thought of the bachelor, or the bachelorette use of red roses, the Webcast music video had been shot. It was the producers idea, the red rose on Lui's cymbal, the ring being taken off the hand, and thrown at the jilted lover, landing in a sea of red rose petals. Pretty cool video for a band, hoping to make the big time. And then the next year, that woman's ex, Jason Mesnick becomes a contestant on the Bachelorette. And people asking if the video was being make because of Jason. Jason who? Who could have possibly guessed that Hilary's ex would be on national television looking for love. We would bump into Jason and Hilary at clubs and shows in Seattle, but it was part of the music scene and common friends. Jamie and the band on stage, me with my camera's taking video for my local television show. I first talked to Hilary during the webcast shooting. I've been shooting video for years though of my kids and what they are doing. For years, I would shoot high school games, and kids would show up to watch the video. The guitarist in the band, Mike Wuellner played basketball against Jamie in second grade, and years later, friends and band mates. I really thought they would have a better chance playing college ball, never even thinking of music, that had been my thing when I was young. But it was Jamie, Mike, Lui and Jason (Shavey) that wound up playing the big stages, even spending some time in Los Angeles looking for the big break. There were some shows when they would play for 2-1/4 hours without a break, and most of the time no break even between songs, just one song sliding into the next. In Alaska they would play at the radio station, and the paper would do a story on them. Alaska, the last time was right after the Governor had been asked to run. Crazy times. But even more crazy, how some idea of roses and break ups would be more strange and "what the? then some idea written into a video was being played out on national tv. That is great you got your film footage on the tv shows, Terry, you really do film very well. We're still waiting to hear "Last Child" as done by Jamie and the guys on MTV. MTV asked the band to record this after hearing Jamie sing, when you hear it, you will know why. The songs been playing on European televison on a new reality show, soon to hit the States. Jamie will be on the Ron and Don Show on Seattle radio at 6:00 PM Pacific time. KIRO 97.3 FM to talk a bit about the making of the music video.
It will be podcast live Thursday March 5th 6:00 pm-7:00 pm - Jamie Love, he is the lead singer for "Out From Underneath" and Jason Mesnick's ex starred in their music video. He is in studio. Octomom had to call 911 yesterday because she lost one of her 14 kids. So I just looked at my recording of Access Hollywood from Thursday night, where they analyzed the hand writing of Hilary.
They took the video I shot of her, slowed it down, and picked a moment where she was trying to concentrate on the next shot we were working on. By slowing it down, it turned it from a fun moment we were all sharing, trying to do a good job for the camera, and made her look unfriendly. Wow! After seeing what they did to my video, it makes me wonder how true any of those shows are. Hilary is a very nice person. She has only had good things to say about her ex. There isn't any drama. My sixteen YO Taylor who met her at the video shoot thought she was a fun person. He was there when we were shooting at Gas Works in Seattle for the day.
