Default Can Price Pfister valves be adjusted?

I'm a homeowner hoping to improve the performance of the shower in my master bath.

The output from the shower head seems weak compared to the other shower in the house. There are two individual hot and cold faucets.

Our home was built in 1985. I replaced the working part of the valves ("Cartridge"?) but the plumbing and valve housing are all original.

The hot side takes about two and a half rotations to get to a decent temp but the cold side only needs to go about half a rotation. The cold side seems really sensitive--a small movement makes a big difference in temp.

Is there an adjustment that will balance the flow from each side to even them out and give us a little more room to adjust the temp of each side?

Thanks in advance for your help.

There is no adujustment. What you can check is the washers on each, might as well replace them while you have it open. Make sure to use flat size 3/8L washers, replace the seats while you are at it.

On this type of shower, open the hot a turn or two, add cold turns for desired temp.

Thanks, Jimbo.. At least now I know. (And I'm even more motivated to remodel the shower!)
