Jacuzzi tub

Hello all,
In following instructions for setting a Jacuzzi whirlpool tub (Fuzion) we are a little concerned. They said to follow instructions as a drop in, using metal straps and setting them on foam pads, not on mortar. However, we're concerned that the foam pads will disintegrate over time. Does anybody have experience with this issue?

Not sure what kind of foam pad they mean, but I do recommend following the instructions to a tee. There are probably valid reasons, including warranty, to do that. Any questions, call Jacuzzi.
