Pressure Switch Chatter

Hi All,

Replaced my pressure switch on a Goulds 1 1/2hp Jet. Used a SquareD 30/50. Set my pressure tank to 28. No water came out of the top when I checked and set the pressure. Adjusted the Cut in/out and got rid of the chatter on the cut in but it still chatters and sparks on the cut off. Any ideas or thoughts.

If you have a check valve between the pump and tank, remove it. You can also move the pressure switch sensing line from the side of the pump to the pressure tank.

No check valve between the pump and the pressure tank. There is one between the aerator and the pump. Should I be looking for a leak somewhere?

Deep well jet, or shallow well jet? Give me the line up. Pump, check valve, aerator, pressure tank with pressure switch or what?
