Install New Soaker Tub.Re-locate Trap/Drain

Need Starting Point..
Can anyone recommend Video/Book/Net Instructions to show how an Install like mine can be done? I had problems with jpg pics but will try to add them.
I am handy and have lots of time to complete project but unsure of correct order of execution. I am also Okay with bringing in professional plumber if i could find one in the Phoenix Area.

I was unable to add picture,
installation is in concete slab and the New tub will be approx 6-8 inches beyond current drain.

What is the drain pipe material (plastic or cast iron?)
What degree of ability/aptitude do you have...?

do you mean the tub drain hole is not located above the same spot where the previous tub was? Please explain this; confirm and add more info, or say no and explain what "6-8 inches" means.

Markts30...Black ABS Heavy Grade.
Good Ability, hands don't work like they used to, but okay.

Geniescience...Tub has left hand drain and new placement will put drain back about 6-8". The Centering of the Drain is very close. Plenty of room since the dropin frame has not been built and need the room at the drain end of the tub for a Roman Filler. I tried to attach a pic of the current setup but was unsuccessful.

To relocate the drain back "6-8" inches, you will have to chip up some of the slab and cut in a new PTrap - you may even have to use a 45 deg. elbow to get the trap placed properly...
It should not be too hard a job for someone who knows what they are doing...
See if you can do a plan view of what exists now and what will exist after for us to relate the answers to...

Yes, you just knock out a little more concrete and you should be fine.
ABS will be easy to work with .
I would relocate the p-trap under the tub overflow drain.

I would dig down, cut off the existing trap, glue a coupling on and extend the pipe to the new p-trap, that is right under the new tub drain.

You want to keep it simple.
A snake will work better with less bends.
