Using aquapex instead of hePex

Generally, no...potable water and the supply system isn't particularly hurt by oxygen, but oxygen in a heating system leads to early failures...the hePex has an oxygen barrier to prevent additional oxygen from getting in and rusting any ferrous metals in the boiler, pumps, valves, etc. The first fill has some in it, but that ends up attaching to something quickly, then there's no more to do anything (one reason leaks in a heating system are bad...each time you fill it back up, you're adding new, free oxygen).

Simply put, make sure it says "oxygen barrier" and don't expect people at the plumbing supply store to know what you're talking about.
Took my Home Depot two years to stock this type, and they only have it in 1/2"
