How many tornadoes does Ohio get?
FWIW, tornados have been recorded in pretty much every state in the union...the season is shorter in the colder areas, but they still happen

The real question is whether people actually react to the sirens, or does it become a case of "crying wolf too often" when the sirens go off but the tornado does not happen. InJoplin MO, the sirens seemed to be an indication that people should go out on their front porch with a can of beer, and see what happens, if anything.

I understand HJ but they are called outdoor warning sirens for a reason if are out and about with no TV,radio, or any other allerting device this can help. and yes I like to sit on my front porch with a beer and watch the stormy weather,:p
