How to remove Paulus Water Tight Seal

I have removed the well cap only to find a Paulus Water Tight seal installed.
Looking for help to remove it, as I can not see into the casing to find out if I have a leak.

Looks like a regular well seal. Just loosen the bolts, DON'T REMOVE THE BOLTS. Then the seal should pull loose. Somtimes spinnning the seal will help break it loose.

It looks as though are lugs under the flange that prevent it from seating all the way down on the casing. Take a hooked pry bar and pry on the flange of the seal to break it loose. I like to work the bar from side to side rather than back n forth.
