In a way, engineers are like plumbers -- there are a few really good ones, more that are just OK, and a lot that should probably be doing something else.

It's easy to pick on the idiots who design everyday things that are obviously just stupid -- but look inside your computer at the hundreds of parts that contain thousands, millions, or even billions of parts and imagine what it took for all those guys to figure out how put everything together cheaply and reliably...
