Have a pumptec that I've been using for a few years. It's been a low yield life saver. However, we have started having outages again. So today I did some testing. No matter what I have tried (up until my last crazy test I couldn't get above 35 PSI in a day.) Nothing yields more than 5 seconds on "Pump on" action. (Pressure switch and tanks working fine"
Test 1 Pumptec set to wait 15 Minutes (the old setting I have used for years.)
Pump on ran for 5 seconds, Pumptec Load light Solid.
15 minutes later Pump on, 5 Seconds, Pumptec load light Solid.
Set Pumptec to 30 Minutes Cycle.
Pump on 5 seconds run, Pumptec Load light.
after 30 minutes pump on run 5 seconds pumptec load light.
Set Pumptec to 60 Minutes Cycle
Pump on 5 seconds run, Pumptec Load light.
after 60 minutes pump on run 5 seconds pumptec load light.
Set Pumptec to 120 Minutes Cycle
Pump on 5 seconds run, Pumptec Load light.
after 120 minutes pump on run 5 seconds pumptec load light.
SAID WTF. Had Wife Cycle Breaker. 10 Seconds off 5 Seconds on. Sat and watched Pressure switch and in 10 minutes we went from 30 PSI to 50. Everytime we had water.
To me it sure seems like i have water and it's a pumptec sensitivity issue or pump issue (I could hear water every time it came on. And it should recover and run longer after 2 hours than it does in 10 seconds. ). Anyone have any thoughts?
