parts is parts???

I was looking on line at a small UPS battery backup. It is rated at 550 VA / 330 watts. Now watts is volts time amps, and I know that power factor may enter into the equation...but why is VA so much different than the watts on that guy??

Most are made to shut the system down and not rated for continuous duty.

People like big numbers. And efficiency plays into it.
