Will this kitchen sink work for me?

I took in all of your suggestions and I made the change to the waste line from a double to a single. The problem is I must use an AAV to vent and this makes the situation tight. The drain is about 13.5 inches off the finish floor and it stubs out directly in the center of the cabinet. The granite fabricator is giving me a sink that he has in stock as part of the deal but the drain is in the back part of the bowl (which I prefer). It is a 30"x17" single bowl. With an AAV and a insinkerator added to the mix, can this drain location in the sink work? Has anyone ever do one of these?

The first picture is upside down and it is coming out of a wall of an island.

Since its all centered up and the drain is in the rear of the sink toward the wall you may have to turn the drain out of the wall with a 45 and then swing the trap to have enough room to connect the drain.

I think the take out of a 2" trap is around 9" if its installed straight. Assuming your going to use a 2" trap.....I suggest that you do for sure. It would have been better if your pipe coming out of the wall was about 7" off center....to either side.

Here is my first treat on this and no one mentioned to offset it. The first layout was for a double bowl sink with a double sanitary tee that every one chastised. I was originally was putting in a standard size single bowl with a center drain. Nobody read your mind and knew that you wanted a sink with a odd-ball drain location?

You only need 1 1/2" for the sink drain, and even though it is a bit low, I would probably use it for the drain. I would prefer to see the sink installed before making a decision, but I am sure the will be enough room for a 45 at the wall and the disposer rotated to the side for a trap to fit the 1 1/2" pipe, (in fact the pipe will probably be below the disposer so there will not be a conflict). The upper 2" will work for the AAV.

I wish I could dry fit the sink but the home is 170 miles away and the fabricator has the sink. It seems that every manufacturer for under mounts all have slightly different cutout templates. An under-mount sink installed on granite is one thing that a DIY'er should not do. This is my second kitchen with granite and I've done two bathrooms. Each time I leave it to the pro's.

I'm waiting to get the depth of the sink, we think it is 9". I also purposely placed the drain at 13.5 and not 14" so I would have a little more wiggle room. The original ones were at 12" and it was too low. My mistake was I didn't know that the drain should have been offset from the center of the cabinet. I've changed out many cabinets and sink basins but I never had to do a re-plumb inside a wall. In Sinkerator has a Compact model that saves an inch here and there. It is 8" inches wide but it is a quality unit with sound proofing rather than the Badger units that are plastic and little stainless steel but are only 6" wide. If I have to I'll use a Badger unit.

Here is the update on this project and buy the pictures you can see that my wife couldn't wait to get things put away and she filled up the cabinet before I could get some pictures. The sink connections all worked out but If I off set the drain it would have been better not for the drain connection but for the flex hose of the faucet. The instructions reads that an 8" square of clearance at the center back of the sink to allow room for the hose. As you can see there is a little interference but it all works OK. I added a picture of the before and after. Thanks to all that had contributed.
