Hunter ProC Controller Problem?

When the controller "first turns on" to run the irrigation system the start motor relay begins to
chatter then cuts off and the controller displays "P-err". Single station operation seems to work
somewhat. I've checked wiring and made sure there is only "one program start time". This has been
an intermittent problem but I'm afraid it may be getting worse. Any suggestions??? thanks
