Washing machine hoses - has anyone heard of PEX

I perfer the braided stainless steel washing machine hoses. Im not a big fan of the pex supplies, they are an economical way for the contractor to supply water to a fixture. Look at the plastic nut on the ones you have pictured, thats a flood waiting to happen.

I agree about the plastic nuts. But the PEX may not be a bad idea. I have seen braided lines fail.

Regarding braided stainless steel lines - washing machine
Has anyone heard or seen braided stainless steel washing machine hoses fail.
Is this a blister case starting as a slow leak. At the wall connection location to the hose.
Also, failure after 8 years, 14 years, what time frame.

I seem to recall that Fluidmaster at one time offered lifetime warranty, but I notice now that their hoses are 5 year warranty..

The braided supplies can fail.
There is a lot of impact when the solenoid shuts off the water abruptly.
The PEX supplies are new for the washers, and they may work fine.
You can also use thicker rubber hoses like the Floodchek hoses.
