pump quit while watering garden

our deep well pump just quit yesterday while watering the garden. we have power to everything. but it has been really dry here. had good pressure before it quit. Any suggestions? Does homeowner's cover wells?
 
If you have power going down the wires to the pump/motor, then it is probably the automatic overload that is tripping. If you wait 15 minutes it should come on by itself. If it is not even trying to come on, you probably don't have the "right" power going down to the motor.
 
Does the system have a low pressure cut-off and if so have you tried resetting it? If you energize the pump does it draw any current? Have you checked the resistance on the pump leads?
 
trouble shooting

How long would it take a professional to trouble shoot the deep well system?
 
is it normal to have dirty water after replacing the pump and motor in a well. it will clear up and then get dirty again,
 
If you upgraded to a higher GPM pump, then it sounds like the well has not been developed to the higher GPM.
