I have a challenge with a Water Pump that wants to run continuously.
Pressure never gets to the cut off point.
Tank seems to be OK however, I will have to check if pressure holds as it was very low ( 15psi).

Any other suggestions from you folks?

I also suspect that my pump may be somewhat worn down so I may have to repair or replace.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,

OK I checked the pressure again in the tank and it has dropped from 38psi where I set it at to about 19psi.
Tanks should not loose the pressure this quickly is that correct? If so that would indicate we have a leak in the diaphragm. I have a Well-Trol WX 202. I guess I should replace the tank./

It sounds to me like you have a jet pump (above ground pump)! If this is the case, I suspect that the nozzle in the venturi (jet assembly) is plugged. Remove the jet assembly and remove any debris from the 1/4" nozzle and reassemble. You should have pressure now. Jet pumps don't build pressure the jet assembly builds the pressure!

If it's a submersible pump (in the well pump) you have another problem!
