Shallow Well running dry

Hi,i
We have had a dry summer and have noticed two people in our neighborhood have installed artisan wells.
I was assured when I purchased this house 3 years ago that the well has never run dry and probably wouldnt.

Well seems it is .. I have a question can we dig the well deeper its 30 ft deep now.. or will we have to go artisan ..

With the economy I have no money to go a new well route...

Also we have filled the tank ..we can run the sinks.. yet we cannot get water into the toilet and we had to shut off the water to the washer.. even know the washer wasnt running .. water would still drip in side the basin ...

It looks like you're near a lake where shallow wells may work. I doubt that you can do anything with that well. I suggest that you call a local driller and tell him your financial situation and ask him to recommend the least expensive solution. Most drillers want to help and will offer their advise. It may not help but it won't hurt either. . . tell them "Porky" recommended you to call them.
