What kind of fitting do you use when you run separate conductors into a box? Romex connectors don't clamp down on the wire. Thank you.

If you are talking about the old knob-and-tube wiring method, each wire that entered a box was enclosed in a length of
flexible nonmetallic tubing (called "loom) that ran from the last ceramic support ("knob"). Metal boxes with loom clamps are still
available, and the integral clamps in plastic boxes work fine with loom. Other than that, the use of individual conductors is illegal, and
is only done by the occasional ignorant non-electrician.

Completely agree.

My first thought was that the original poster might be installing wire that is supposed to be inside conduit.

If you are installing individual wires, everything needs to be inside a raceway such as EMT.

He might also have been referring to the ground wires that exit an electrical panel.

Actually, we have absolutely NO idea what he is asking. Whether it is individual wires, or something else, but whatever it is, it does not seem to be a "proper" installation.
