Hi,

I need to replace my jet pump and I am thinking about replacing it by a submersible pump. My surface well always shows seven to eight feet of water and I would suspend the submersible pump approximately three feet over the bottom of the well. Is there any counter-indication about using a submersible pump in a surface well?

Thanks in advance,

JF

As long as you have at least 4" casing a sub will fit. The subs need to be under at least one foot of water while it is pumping full flow. The sub is about 3' long, so you wound need at least 5' of water in the well.
