Can anyone tell me what the closest Toto toilet finish color is to the Kohler (& MTI for that matter) biscuit finish? Sounds like the Toto ultra max or drake toilets are the way to go but plan to stick otherwise with Kohler (or MTI) tubs and maybe sinks and not sure which Toto color is closest ...
Anyone??
Thx in advance!
:)

Toto's color is Sedona Beige #12 it is a match to Kohler Biscuit or American Standard Linen.

Kohler biscuit

I can confirm that Sedona Beige is the TOTO corresponding color to Kohler Biscuit.

This link from a homeowner forum has another expert opinion. What is the right answer?
I would think kohler biscuit = toto colonial white, NOT sedona beige....

thanks

White is White.
Cotton White is like Cotton. If you were picking cotton in Georgia, where they make the toilets, that would be very white.
Colonial White has just a hint of yellow in it, like it's a white toilet that has seen it's share of soap scum over the years.

If you want something that is "not" white, then you pick a "color".
TOTO Sedonia Beige, is like a Kohler Biscuit, or American Standard Linen.
TOTO Bone is like Kohler Almond or A/S Bone.

American Standard versus Kohler Colors?

Good day all!

Can anyone help me determine what, if any, Kohler color matches American Standard's "bone" color? I have been to 3 different stores (Home Depot, Lowes, and Ace Plumbing), gotten two "certain" answers that are opposite of each other, one "maybe this one, or maybe that one" and 3 American Standard and 2 Kohler pamphlets with colors on them and those within the same brand don't even match let alone help me decide. Apparantly no-one has "real" material samples anymore and stocking another but white unheard of.

I know there is no "exact" match. Heck, white isn't even white. However, these two fixtures will be side-by-side and I'd like it not to be a stark contrast.

HELP! If you can...

Thanks!

Does color really match? or even come close?

I've been reading the blog and am convinced I want a Toto toilet... but I have a biscuit-color Kohler tub.
Will a Toto Sedona Beige toilet come close-enough to the color of the tub or will it really look different and not a good combination to have in a smallish bathroom?

Thanks

Oh the fun of the color game. Usually I end up telling customers to tell me what they are trying to match and I will bring in their version of that color.

Here is tub acrylic samples compared to the Toto virtuous china samples:

Toto colonial white and kohler match?

It looks like kohler does not have an exact match for toto colonial but it appears that biscuit might be the closest match?

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Rob

Biscuit is a beige. I would think that any white would match better. If the fixtures are not really close together, a slight difference would not be noticeable unless you really were looking for it.

Even the same manufacturer's color will appear different if one fixture is china, such as the toilet or lavatory, and the other is cast iron, such as a tub or lavatory.

Terry--I read your comments correlating various manufacturers whites. Can you tell me when American Standard changed to the "New White"?
Many thanks for an informative site. Looking forward to delivery of my two Vespin II toilets for my remodel!

TOTO colors

Recently purchased a ToTo Clayton and a ToTo Ultramax, both in Cotton. The Clayton is true to color, however, the Ultamax is a gray-white...not even close to the described Cotton or the brightness of the Clayton. Has anyone experienced this?

I haven't experienced that. Are you looking at the tank lids in the same room, side by side?

White tends to reflect whatever it is close to.
