How high can I mount shower head

I am installing a new shower valve and the shower will have tile all the way to the ceiling.

How high can I go with the shower head?

As high as you want.

Your only limitation is the offset in the shower arm. If it's to close to the ceiling you won't be able to spin the arm in. Most are set at 6"- 6". But that's not written in stone.

You can have it hanging from the ceiling if that works for you.
