No Venting

I have a cottage with 2 sinks, 1 toilet, 1 shower all draining into a 3" sewer pipe than exiting the crawl space into a septic tank. Problem is no vent pipe going to the roof. Its going to be difficult to vent it to the roof for its 2 storey. All drains pipes have a s trap with clean out. I heard of cheater vents etc. How do I deal with this problem. Thank you.

A "Cheater" vent only works in conjunciton with a "real" vent.

You may need to find an interior wall to run the vent, or maybe a corner can be boxed out.
Or maybe going up the side of the home, cut through the roof overhang, and then flash through the roof.

If you have 3" going out, they like to see at least the total area of a 3" out.
The area of a 3" pipe can be two 2.0" vents and one 1.5" vent.
Or you can use a 3.0" vent.

To bring it all up to current code will pretty much require replacement of the entire drainage system including replacing each S-trap with a properly vented P-trap.

While what you have is incorrect by today's standards, you will need to think about where exactly it is causing a problem and to what extent you are willing to go to fix it. Many old installations work well despite not being up to today's code requirements.
