my house has brass threaded pipe through out ...i'm remodeling the kitchen and am gonna keep the wall mounted kitchen faucet just gonne get a new one

my question is the should i change out the old pipe to copper or if it aint broke dont fix it?

the brass joint are 70 years old and dont leak and seem fine.....it is a pain in the ass to change it out and if these can last indefinately i assume leave it alone

thoughts?

None needed. The brass pipe is perfectly adequate, and possibly stronger than copper tubing for that application. Just use brass nipples for the faucet connections.

hahah

the house is made well......as i am beginning to see with everything.......older is better but yet we are all brainwashed that the new crap is better.......this goes for cars, audio electronics, and now for me... plumbing!
