Water is silty since new submerged pump was installed

Since installing a new submerged water pump, my water has been silty. The guy that installed the pump said to 'bleach' the system and it would fix it. It didn't. Is it feasiable to 'stir up' the silt and run it out with all the outside spigots open?

I would just try to pump it out for a while, using as many spigots as you can at one time.

I wouldn't run a lot of water into a septic system.

I had to install a sediment filter when my pump was pulled last, and several others in my area have them too.

Was the pump set lower in the well?

Even a foot or two could be the difference.
