We got a lot of snow coming...

I know what you mean...the hotter it gets the more snow and cold we get...

Once it gets cold enough for precipitation to fall as snow instead of rain... well, yeah, of course warmer means more snow & colder means less snow. Common sense: warm air holds more moisture than cold air, right?

You sure you live in Cincinnati? I always assumed any northerner knows that.

Ian if you could leave your PC running & logged in that would be great
As soon as we see you go offline we'll know you've lost power & the storm is really bad
I've stocked up the wood bin on the back deck
Gen is all set just in case
Bring it !

really....don't

No, snow yet and I just went to buy some wood.

We'll get the fireplace going if the power goes.

The surge protector is good to go too.

I'm ready. 3 feet or more though and I'll have to clear the roof. I hear they start groaning after that.

We'll send some of the white stuff up to you Dave after we have finished with it here.

Call it a Christmas gift from the Feds!

Ian...Good Morning America just said you might get 20"

Global warming is working real well...All we need to do now is move away from the sun a little and we will be all set...wait...no we need to change the magnetism of the earth...wait...no we need to change the solar system...or is it something else we just don't know about yet...well...I forget now..what is it exactly...

globalwarming and snow fall.....invest in snow shovels...

It looks like everyone on the east coast is going to get pounded hard
here in INDY we look to get maybe two inches....

CASS...
Now that you have brought up global warming, it makes me wonder with so much more water in the atmosphere from glaciers melting off ....

I wonder if a 10 - 15 foot snowfall over a large metro area would be out of the question some day...

we never thought that the glaciers and anartica would melt off so quickly
so who knows what is possible???

of course those scientists would say its all bunk...

not enough proof.....

so if it snowed 15 foot in your area would you see
that as a sign of trouble???.

I am not saying global warming is not happening...I want to know with Scientific Certainty what the cause is...

Personally I don't believe is is from all the carbon dioxide...There are so many other things more likely to cause it...just one example is normal climate change...like the fossil record shows...something we have no control over...

what exactly are you saying then??

basically you, or humanity does not want to take any of the blame
because if you did
you might have to radically change your life style.......
and everyone refuses to budge one bit .......

if their were only about 5 hundred million people on this planet
and we did not breed like mice, then every thing could probably
keep going on the same forever...

blame whatever you want to blame.....

but we are all in the same boat...
if you are in first class or are just one of the slaves shoveling coal....

eventually nature , or the Earth will correct this imbalance.....

nice blizzard pictures of 1978....... but thats only about 3 feet

if we were ever to get three times that much.......that would be something to live through..

There is a natural process to everything and nothing lasts forever for everything has an eventual death. Can we add to the speed of its eventual death?

Sure we can.

This application can be applied to anything. Humans can speed up their own death by doing harmful things to their bodies such as smoking, etc.

We can speed up the eventual & natural death of our planet by exhausting the resources or polluting it, etc. It is simply cause and effect.
One thing to look at is to compare in a sense is when another planet or a star just seemingly, dies. This is one of the reasons we look for planets similar to ours.

Common sense would dictate before their death there must had been changes. What caused their changes which eventually, led to their death?

That is the falacy...when there were 5 million people here on earth the climate was totally different than it is now and the changes that took place between then and now had nothing to do with the increase in the population...

The Earth never remains the same...ever...it is constantly changing...
