I would have taken one look at that mess & walked out of the house (as a prospective buyer)
Unless it was at an extremely good price I would never consider a house where work like that was done

You mean they saw that AND still wanted and/or needed an inspection? Does that mean they would have bought the abortion if you had approved it somehow?

If I liked the house, and it was a good deal, as long as the foundation was good, all the rest can be fixed. I would take a picture of it, blow it up, frame it, and hang it for a conversation piece.

I don't blame them ... where did they move that panel to? It looks like a finished space. And, why did they move it?

Because I'm not a plumber I guess I don't see the problem. He used the same yellow wires and wire ties to keep it from looking all messy.??? Is it the orange wire caps in the other box that makes it a problem? I wonder if the guy would help me rewire my trailer. I somehow got 3/4 of our house wired through the GFI in the bathroom and can't figure out how I did it. Might explain the haircut in my avatar.

It would be good to have the breakers handy in case you unexpectedly trip one while using your electric heater in the shower. I know there are better sauna's but us trailer park dwellers gots to use imagination. I think if he painted those wires the next folks will think it's up to code...
